3 Purple Squirmy Worms tied on kamasan B110 Hooks. These hooks are extremely sharp and have great hooking capabilities.
The most alien looking in the series, and a fly that couldn't possibly represent anything natural. However, whether through aggression, hunger or just pure intrigue it catches fish. It is best fished solo and on a sink tip line with a 10-15ftft fluorocarbon leader. The retrieve I find works, is a rapid tweak with the odd pause thrown into the retrieve.
This fly has plenty of movement and the use of purple really seems to trigger the trout at certain times of the year. I will often try this fly early and late season when the trout are more than happy to chase lures.
