The Diawl Bach, or little devil" in Welsh, is one of my favourite flies to fish, even though it can be a bit tricky to tie. Its reputation is well-deserved, as many fish fall victim to it. This fly is a go-to when fishing with teams of nymphs or employing techniques like the washing line. No serious angler's fly box is complete without a few variations of this deadly little fly!
